Post image for Diablo III Beta this weekend

The Diablo III open beta for this weekend is live since yesterday, except for some downtime this morning to address an undisclosed issue. At this time they are slowly letting players back in and you may not be able to login right away. I myself got to play for an hour and got booted by the server at some point and can’t make it back. The current goal is to increase capacity slowly and monitor stability.

Should you want to partake in the beta you need to download the client over here at https://us.battle.net/account/download/index.xml?show=d3. You will be able to grind your characters up to level 13 with access to all five classes, but be quick, the beta ends on Monday at 1pm EST.

You may also encounter an issue if you’re used to playing Blizzard games like Star Craft II as the login screen is confusing a lot of people. If you enter your account name and password as you would’ve done in Star Craft II, the login button will appear to be greyed out and be unclickable.

After digging for a few minutes through several different forum posts on this isssue, it appears that now you need to input your full e-mail address rather than your account name. The fact that this information is not written on the login screen is quite annoying.

Did you get to try the beta? Did you like it? If you didn’t have time to catch the beta, here is a little overview of what’s to come in the game that I published on Smart Finds For Him.
